CLIENT WORK | The Homegrown Festival
For the past five years, the downtown community here in Siloam Springs has gathered together to celebrate local & handmade goods, food, and music. Every year the crowds and vendors have grown, and this year we were thrilled to give the overall festival a branding makeover - including a new logo with color palette, illustrations, advertisements and event signage. We're very passionate about placemaking and creating spaces for the public to enjoy that are inviting, aesthetically pleasing and an overall boost to our local culture.
Kate led this project, and really took our vision for the festival to the next level. The previous logo had a handmade feel, so we didn't want to lose that, but it really needed an update. Also, since Main Street Siloam Springs - the festival organizer - is a non-profit, we had to make sure we were maximizing the collateral they already had so we came up with a multi-year rollout plan that wouldn't push their budget.
Here's the new logo with color palette:
We also created several advertisements, posters, postcards, event signage, and banners, many with custom illustrations created by Kate. Here are a few of the highlights:
We had a lot of fun designing for the festival, as well as attending it! But, the most important part of all of this is that Main Street reported that attendance nearly DOUBLED over last year. We're so honored to have been a part of that, and will continue to work closely with Main Street Siloam Springs each year to help them bring the best to their festival.
